Mount Snow Yurt sits beside a gentle creek in Dover, in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont, about five minutes from the Mount Snow Ski Resort entrance. It is a solid-construction yurt, which is the difference between glamping that closes for the winter and glamping that is best in it.
Why this is not a canvas tent
Unlike canvas glamping tents, this is a true solid-construction cabin with 27 insulated walls instead of 4, real indoor bathrooms with flush toilets, and year-round climate control. That is the whole argument for booking it in January.
Two private queen bedrooms sleep the core group, a king sleeper in the loft sits behind a privacy screen, and the living room sofa converts into two semi-separate beds.
Hot tub, sauna, creek
The deck holds a private 7-person hot tub that stays at 102°F year round with forest views and the creek running below. No cameras monitor the hot tub area.
Beside it is a cedar barrel sauna, heated to between 160 and 185°F, which is the sequence most guests end up repeating every night of the stay.
Skiing and the rest of the year
Mount Snow is about five minutes away and runs on the Epic Pass. Stratton Mountain, on the Ikon Pass, is about 28 minutes. There is dedicated ski equipment storage on site so the gear is not living in the entryway.

Practical notes before you book
The kitchen is chef-grade and stocked, with an espresso coffee bar and a snack bar. Starlink covers the property with a desk and an ergonomic chair for remote work, though cell coverage is spotty. A wood-burning stove anchors the main room.
